Here is a picture of some African Zebra Wood
I acquire this African Zebra Wood in a plank form. Then I run it through a surface plainer and loose a lot of the wood getting it very smooth. Then it is ripped and cross cut into pieces to make blocks. Then it is glued with the finest glue available and clamped to make blocks accessible to make Grips and Forends. Notice how the grain is varied to get the most strength possible. Then it is ready to cut and shape into beautiful Grips and Forends. Scroll down to see some examples. The photos do not do justice to this beautiful wood.
